What Do I See?

In October 2012 my daughters and I went to the “Women of Faith” conference in St. Paul, MN. Sheila Walsh was such a presence on stage, in her speeches, but also with her singing. I bought her CD “Beauty from Ashes”. It has really amazing songs on it. Unfortunately I couldn’t find this following song on youtube. So I’m just going to leave you with the lyrics.

These words just remind me of how different my view can be from God’s. I only see what’s in front of me. But God sees the whole picture! He sees my past, my present AND my future! Why should I ever get anxious, right? A Bible verse came to mind of what Isaiah says in chapter 26:4:

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you,
all whose thoughts are fixed on you.”

May the lyrics of this song encourage you today!

Falling

Sheila Walsh

We see the broken vows, You see the love restored

We see the prodigals leave, You see them coming home

We see four wall of fear, You see faith’s open door

We see a glimpse of our days, You see so much more

Great Father in Heaven, we’ve seen Your heart

Redeeming with such love and grace

Even when we see life falling apart

You see life falling in place

We see the mess we’ve made, You see what we’ll become

We see our brokenness, You see Your will be done

We see uncertainty, You know the unknown

We see from earth, You see from Your throne

Great Father in Heaven, we’ve seen your heart

Redeeming with such love and grace

Even when we see life falling apart

You see life falling in place

We read a story so tragic, it seems too far gone

We see a Savior forsaken , but you see Easter’s dawn

Great Father in Heaven, we’ve seen your heart

Redeeming with such love and grace

Even when we see life falling apart

You see life falling in place
